“Adding Life and Soul into Photographs”
With the advancing technology in digital photography, people tend to focus too much on perfecting their photos technically, rather than adding life and soul into them.
Coming from film photography background, I had been taught to think and composed before taking any shot; burst mode was not an option back then. Every exposure was so essential, and we appreciated the process of composing the image rather than perfecting them afterward. And that should be the soul of photography.
Although I have been in the photography industry for 10+ years, I’m still learning and always seeking for new challenges. I started as a wedding photographer and soon become a photography instructor at Universities and colleges. Between, I have done a lot of photojournalism related works. Thanks to World Vision Malaysia, I have traveled to other countries to document their work on the respective communities. I learned a lot about life’s philosophy along the journey and eventually improved myself as a life photographer.
Photography has come a long way and still evolving through time in the future. Nevertheless, I still believe in the idea of adding life to my photographs.
